Best Value Stone

Cheap Sandstone Pavers Sydney

Cheap sandstone doesn’t have to mean inferior sandstone. Because our stone comes direct from the quarry — no importer, no distributor, no stone-yard markup — you pay the shortest possible chain between the saw and your site. And because sawing premium products creates by-products, there are genuine bargains in the range for buyers who know what to ask for.

Sawn modular paving from $65/m² is the headline: real Australian sandstone at a price that competes with concrete pavers.

Where the Bargains Are

Sawn modular paving is essentially a by-product of sawing our premium stone — same rock, same saws, offcut economics. It comes in mixed colours at 50mm, 75mm and 100mm thick and delivers a smart, structured finish for large patios and commercial areas at the lowest cost per metre in the range.

Sawn flagging (crazy paving) at $85/m² covers big areas economically because irregular pieces mean minimal cutting waste. And the quarry’s bin products — offcuts, gabion spalls and rough squared blocks sold by the tonne — are the insider’s way to pave paths, build borders and fill gabions for less. You’re welcome to come to the quarry and hand-pick from the bins.

How to Keep Your Paving Budget Down

Buy mixed-colour pallets rather than colour-selected stone; the blended look is beautiful and costs less. Choose 50mm thickness unless vehicles will cross. Collect from the quarry at Glenorie if you have a ute or trailer, or consolidate pavers, edging and base material into one delivery. Finally, order accurately: our team will take your square meterage and calculate pallets so you’re not paying for stone you don’t need.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the cheapest sandstone pavers in Sydney?

Sawn modular paving is our best-value paver at around $65/m² ex-quarry — a by-product of premium sawing, so you get the same Australian stone at a lower price. Quarry bin offcuts are cheaper still if you can work with assorted sizes.

Why is quarry-direct sandstone cheaper?

There is no importer, wholesaler or stone-yard margin — the stone is quarried, sawn and sold from the same site at Glenorie. You also avoid double freight and re-handling damage built into resold stone.

Is cheap sandstone lower quality?

No — modular paving and bin products come from exactly the same quarry faces as the premium lines. The price difference is about format and finishing labour, not stone quality.

Can I pick up pavers myself to save on delivery?

Yes, you can collect from the quarry at Glenorie in Sydney’s Hills District (utes and trailers are fine for smaller lots), or we can quote delivery — one combined drop for pavers, edging and base usually works out cheapest.

Are seconds or offcuts available?

Yes — the quarry’s bins hold offcuts, gabion spalls and rough squared blocks sold by the tonne, and you’re welcome to hand-select. Availability varies week to week, so call ahead or ask in your quote.
